Dry-Brik II has three important functions:
Boxes using heat alone lower the relative humidity by warming the air, but the amount of moisture in the air does not change. While warm air can hold more moisture than cool air, unless the water is removed, it can condense right back where it was when the heat goes off. That's where the desiccant comes in. Products without a desiccant might work fine in a desert, but in a humid environment they are simply ineffective. The Dry & Store family of products uses Dry-MaxTM technology: a controlled amount of warm dry air, a soft but continuous flow of air around all of the small ports and openings in an electronic device like a hearing instrument, and the powerful Dry-Brik II desiccant to do the job right!
Note: The new Dry Briks do not have a copper strip on the end as they did in the past. The copper strip had a function for the older Professional models. It had no function for the Global or Zephyr dryers. If you have the Professional model dryer and the red "check drawer light" does not go out, you will need to contact Ear Technology (800-327-8547) for help in how to use your dryer. They offer a free fix for your Professional dryer so that the new Dry Briks are compatible.

I rely on the dry brick II to greatly reduce moisture built up during long active days. Maintenance issues are less frequent.

I have had trouble in the past with malfunctions in the receivercable of my hearing aids. Dry Brik II keeps them clean and moisture free. Nor more issues.

I notice that is no longer a metallic foil on one end of the brick...is this a design modification?
Dry and Store no longer makes Dry Briks with the copper strip. They have provided a metal strip which can be installed in the professional dryer so that these Dry Briks work. If you need one, we have them at no charge. Just let us know.

I have been using the Dry and Store Global II and the Dry Brik system for 5 months everyday
and my hearing aids are easier to clean and very dry in the morning. I wear my hearing aids all day long so it is important for me to give the best treatment. Thank you.
